This article is not ground breaking, nor will it bust open any new ideas or thoughts around leadership. What this article is, however, is a great reminder on how to be a good leader. A people leader.

Not infrequently do I come across exceptionally smart leaders who forget that they too were once at the bottom of the ladder with big bright eyes squinting up to see the top. So here’s your little nudge to remind you that you too benefitted from a handout, from an extra meeting and a little extra guidance.

The big takeaway is that change is inevitable. The more people on your team who are ready to maneuver because of your leadership, the more successful your career will be. And furthermore, remember we are all human. Even the little guys at the bottom. Hear them, teach them, challenge them so they can return the favour and teach you, grow the business and expand your own understandings. Good leaders develop good leaders.
