Deliberate.
Intention, intentional, with intention. These buzz words have been buzzing around for quite some time. And for some, they have landed and helped make an impact. For the rest of us- they are trendy and buzzy words.
So try this one on for size: deliberate.
Focus on the outcome. What do you want out of this moment? It could be to complete a project. It could be to create a space to breathe. It could be to get organized.
What happens if that time is spent deliberately?
For example, rather than scrolling online and losing oneself down a rabbit hole, you deliberately focus on what you need out of that moment.
How do we put this into practice? Ask yourself- what is the purpose of this? Am I trying to rest? Am I trying to work? Is this scrolling serving my purpose? Am I acting deliberately? What do I need to do to achieve my objective here?
No matter the circumstance, if you are deliberate with what you want (again reiterating, this is not solely to drive more work)- you will achieve the outcome for which you set out.
This means, you may end up with more deliberate (& focused) work progress, more deliberate (& fulfilling) breaks, more deliberate (& meaningful) connections with people. This may even leave you with extra time in the day.
This is simply a thought starter. We are each triggered and motivated by different openings- maybe this one will work for you.
